From real estate to cyber: the 150 most reliable companies in Israel

This week Globes published for the first time the ranking of the most reliable companies in Israel in various industries.

The ranking was done through an independent survey that includes a sample of about 5,000 Israelis and will include three dimensions: customer trust, investor trust, and employee trust, as well as monitoring what is said on the Internet about the company, its publications, statements on social networks, and more. Participants were presented with a random selection of relevant companies from which they could choose up to 6 companies they knew well. Each participant evaluated an average of about four companies. The 150 companies with the highest score were awarded the title of “the most reliable companies in Israel for 2023”.

This is how the 150 most reliable companies in the economy were ranked
Globes, in cooperation with the market research company Statista, award the title of the most reliable companies in Israel for the first time. The ranking is done in 17 different branches and based on recommendations. The most trusted companies were selected based on a comprehensive trust assessment approach. Three dimensions were taken into account: the trust of customers, the trust of investors, and the trust of employees.

The analysis of the findings went through a three-stage process
1. Market definition: The study took into account all public companies whose head office is in Israel.
2. Comprehensive survey: The basis of the analysis is an independent survey of a sample of about 5,000 Israelis, who rated companies they know, according to the three dimensions of trust. In total, more than 17,000 company evaluations were submitted. The survey was conducted between 20.11.22 and 18.12.22.
Participants were presented with a random selection of relevant companies from which they could choose up to 6 companies they knew well. Each participant evaluated an average of about four companies. For each trust dimension a detailed list of questions was presented. Examples:

A potential employee’s point of view:
♦ I believe that this company treats its employees fairly.
♦ I believe that this company pays its employees well.
♦ I believe that this company offers good opportunities for career development.

In determining the final score of the survey, the evaluations of customers or investors received a higher weight than that of employees: 40%, 40% and 20% respectively. The top 200 companies in the survey moved to the next stage: social listening.

3. “Social listening”is defined as a process of identifying and evaluating what is said about a company on the Internet: news, articles, social networks and more. The monitoring of mentions was carried out during four months: in real time – from January to February 2023 and historical data from October 2022 to January 2023. Decoding the “sentiments” towards the companies was carried out using text analysis and computational linguistics to mark the mentions as positive, neutral or negative. The social listening score took into account the number of positive and neutral mentions compared to the total number of mentions.

The final score and ranking of the 150 companies
In calculating the final grade, the survey is given a weight of 90% and the social listening a weight of 10%. The 150 companies with the highest score were awarded the title of “the most reliable companies in Israel for 2023”. The final list is shown by branches.
